Alberta
Population Projections: Census Divisions,
2004-2026 **
Population projections (2004-2026) by five-year
age group and sex were developed for Alberta
and the 19 Census Divisions using three
standard growth scenarios (Low, Medium and
High). A detailed medium projection series
by single years of age and sex for the Census
Divisions and the Province is also provided
along with a document of Highlights, Methodology,
Assumptions and Appendices.
Produced by the Alberta Finance - Statistics,
the Alberta Population Projections (2004-2026)
are available in an electronic media format
(CD ROM) to give users great flexibility
in utilizing these data through Microsoft
Excel spreadsheets. This type of release
will allow users to incorporate projection
results into custom applications. Other
contents (e.g. Methodology and Assumptions)
are presented in the Adobe Acrobat Reader
format.

to give you guidelines in conducting a municipal
census using standard census techniques. In order
to get the best results, a proper census count
of residents must be done following the relevant
provincial acts and regulations. The
