On behalf of the Government of Canada and its Family Violence Initiative (FVI), the Public Health Agency of Canada operates the National Clearinghouse on Family Violence (NCFV). The NCFV is Canada’s resource centre for information on violence within relationships of kinship, intimacy, dependency or trust.

On behalf of its 13 federal FVI partner departments, the NCFV collects, develops, and disseminates information on family violence across the country and abroad.

NCFV resources and services are available free of charge in both English and French.

Funding is available for national projects that adopt Crime Prevention through Social Development (CPSD) as a primary approach to address risk factors that contribute to crime and victimization, particularly among Women, Children and Youth at risk, or Aboriginal peoples. Projects must work in partnership with organizations from other provinces and/or territories.  Original proposals must be postmarked by December 9, 2005

For more information on funding programs, eligibility, guidelines, or application forms, please visit www.publicsafety.gc.ca/ncpc, or call 1-877-302-6272.
