Elections Canada is committed to providing visitors with a Web site that respects their privacy. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices on the Elections Canada Web site.

  • Elections Canada's Web site does not automatically gather any specific personal information from you, such as your name, phone number or e-mail address. We only obtain this type of information if you supply it on the Elections Canada e-mail form and send it to us.   • Elections Canada occasionally uses "cookies", (A cookie is a very small text file placed on the hard drive of your computer by a web page server. It is a unique identifying code for your computer and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It allows the server to access information on your system so that you can better browse the Web pages.) but the cookies we use do not allow us to identify individuals.
