Information for: voters   •   candidates   •   political parties   •   third parties Information for voters Voter Information Service (where do I vote?, returning officer, list of candidates, map, employment during the election and more) NOTE: The deadline to register to vote by special ballot was 6:00 p.m., local time, on January 17.  Electors away from their riding who were issued a special ballot voting kit must ensure that the completed ballot arrives at Elections Canada in Ottawa by 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on election day, January 23. Electors who requested a special ballot in their own riding must ensure that the returning officer for that riding receives the completed ballot before the local polling stations close on January 23.
