SUMMER CAREER PLACEMENTS (SCP):  Wage Subsidy Contribution for Employers

  • Provides wage subsidies to public, private and not-for-profit employers to create career-related summer jobs for secondary and post secondary student, from 15-30 years of age (inclusive)
  • These jobs help students acquire skills, gain work experience and finance their return to school.

    • Wage subsidy rates
    • National priorities
    • Mandatory Employment Related Costs (MERCS)
    • Application procedures
    • Application deadline dates
    • SCP application form

TO APPLY FOR SCP:

  • Either complete, print and sign, or print, complete and sign the SCP Application/Agreement Form *
  • Deliver or mail the completed application to your local Service Canada Centre by:
    • Friday March 31, 2006
    • Friday April 7th, 2006 in Northwest Territories and Nunavut
