The Labour Management Partnerships Program (LMPP) is a contributions program that was launched in December 1991. This program supports joint labour-management initiatives and projects that are designed and implemented in the workplace, or at sectoral or national levels, to foster and improve the labour-management relationship. The program's budget was approximately $1.8 million in 1996-97 and was $1.6 million in each of the subsequent years. The LMPP was last evaluated in 1997. That evaluation concluded that the program provided good value and should be better marketed.1 The current evaluation of the LMPP examines the degree of program success in terms of rationale, delivery and outcomes for the period 1997 to 2002.
