Federal-Provincial Introductions and Transfers Committee
The Federal-Provincial Introductions and Transfers Committee was formed with
a Memorandum of Understanding among: Department of Fisheries and Oceans; the B.C.
Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks (now Water, Land and Air
Protection) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and
Food.
It is a technical committee whose
primary role is to advise the above agencies on fish introduction and
transfer issues. It meets at least
four times per year, and consists of up to six members (two from each of DFO, and the
appropriate provincial ministries).
