Tides, Currents and Water Levels
National
Tidal Predictions:
The National Tides, Currents and Water Levels web site provides predicted times and heights of high and low waters, and hourly water levels for over seven hundred stations in Canada.

Local
Tidal Predictions:
The Pacific Region Tides, Currents and Water Levels web site provides predicted times and heights of high and low waters for 5 popular tourist areas in British Columbia.

The predicted times are Pacific Standard Time (PST) as indicated by the time zone designator of +08. To convert to Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, time zone +07) add one hour to the times in PST.

These predictions, which are prepared for the convenience of users, are supplements to and not replacements for the Canadian Tide and Current Tables, which are the official tidal predictions for Canada.

Observed Water Levels:
The Pacific Region Tides, Currents and Water Levels web site provides observed water levels for 13 stations along the B.C. Coast. Observed 5 minute water levels for each station are displayed in both graphic and tabular form. The graphs display a 3 day period. Predicted 5 minute water levels are also displayed to help visualize the effects meteorological conditions have on the tides. The Tables display the present month.

The observed times are Pacific Standard Time (PST) as indicated by the time zone designator of +08. To convert to Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, time zone +07) add one hour to the times in PST.

Observed water levels provided at this site are referenced to local chart datum (lowest normal tide). Note that the water levels are provisional and are subject to change.

To obtain archived water levels please visit the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) web site at: http://www.meds-sdmm.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/.
