First Nations


First Nation communities are situated throughout the Fraser River/BC Interior Area, and are a diverse mix of coastal and inland communities.

The Area encompasses all or portions of Musqueam, Tsawwassen, Chehalis, Yale, Skwah, Peters, Union Bar and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, Kwikwetlem and New Westminster First Nations, and the Sto:lo Nation; including Aitchelitz, Chawathil, Cheam, Kwantlen, Kwaw Kwaw Apilt, Lakahahmen, Matsqui, Popkum, Scowlitz, Seabird Island, Shxw'ow'hamel, Skawahlook, Skowkale, Skway,
Soowahlie, Squiala, Sumas, Tzeachten, and Yakweakwioose First Nations groups. Most of these tribal groupings include a number of different communities.
