AG Champion's Message:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the PWGSC Avant-Garde youth network site. Avant-Garde aims to represent all of PWGSC’s young and new employees, by being a united voice in contributing to the department’s future. Thus, I invite all young employees to join this exciting, dynamic and most innovative network.

Inspired, in part, by the success of already established federal youth networks Canada-wide, as well as staunch support from PWGSC’s senior management team, the network will offer you a plethora of opportunities. These opportunities include: network with departmental and federal colleagues, develop new skills and competencies, and be a player in a forum whereby ideas, knowledge, best practices and issues affecting the department can be shared and discussed to ensure we, as a community, address any potential gaps. By creating a cooperative, constructive and easily accessible forum for youth, Avant-Garde will contribute to the initiative of building a workplace of choice.

As the Youth Champion, I would like to congratulate this group of employees, volunteers, for its leadership and dedication. I’m very excited about this initiative, as I hope you are, and look forward to working with the members of AG in shaping the department’s future. I would also like to thank these participants’ managers for their continued support, and hope other employees and their managers come on board.
