Mandate
The Central and Public Accounts Reporting Directorate
(CPARD) plays a key role in the Receiver General Business
Line through the maintenance of the accounts of Canada (which
includes publishing the government-wide Chart
of Accounts ),
the preparation of the Public
Accounts of Canada and the Government of Canada's Monthly
Statement of Financial Operations (MSFO), the publishing
of standard accounting practices in the Receiver
General Manual and in Receiver
General Directives and Information
Notices, as well as the monitoring of the quality of
financial information.
