Central Accounting and Reporting Sector (CARS) of the Finance, Accounting, Banking and Compensation Branch (FABCB) is one of two organizations that comprise the Receiver General business line. The other organization is the Banking and Cash Management Sector (BCMS).

CARS supports governmental financial management with the on going provision of government-wide accounting and reporting services to Central Agencies, the maintenance of the Central Financial Management Reporting System (CFMRS) and the provision of the Common Departmental Financial System (CDFS) to individual departments and agencies.
