VICTORIA – Agriculture and Lands Minister Pat Bell will join other provincial and federal agriculture ministers at the World Trade Organization (WTO) meetings in Hong Kong to support Canadian and British Columbian objectives for fair and equitable trade in agricultural products.

FRASER VALLEY POULTRY FARMS FREE OF AVIAN INFLUENZA
 
ABBOTSFORD – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Lands declared Fraser Valley poultry farms in two surveillance zones to be free of avian influenza after three rounds of weekly testing detected no further evidence of infection. The surveillance zones and all related quarantines affecting 80 premises have been removed.
