TRACADIE-SHEILA - The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Eastern New Brunswick area office in Tracadie-Sheila, N.B., today announced that the portion of the Baie des Chaleurs starting from Belloni Point, near Bathurst, and continuing along the shore line to Maisonnette Point, is now open to the harvesting of bivalve molluscs. This area was closed last June 27 due to levels of toxins in bivalve molluscs exceeding federal standards.
