Oceans ManagementThe objective of the Oceans Management business services is to achieve an integrated ecosystem-based approach to the conservation, protection and sustainable development of oceans and oceans resources. The objective, programs and priorities of the Oceans Business Line flow mostly from the Oceans Act and contribute directly to conservation, sustainable development and integrated management of Canada's estuarine, coastal and marine waters. ObjectiveThe policy objective of the Fish Habitat Management Program is the Net Gain of habitat for Canada's fisheries resources: to increase the natural productive capacity of habitats for the nation's fisheries resources, to benefit present and future generations of Canadians.
