Apprenticeship is a proven industry based learning system which combines job experience with technical training. Apprenticeship in Ontario is the responsibility of the provincial government which offers apprenticeship curricula in a variety of fields.     Tradeability.ca is a collaborative effort between community partners in Durham Region, funded by the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada, created to meet current and future market demand for skilled tradespeople in Durham Region.

    apprenticesearch.com is a interactive on-line service for information on apprenticeships. This site facilitates the match between people looking for skilled trades employment and apprenticeship opportunities, and employers offering apprenticeship training and jobs.

    A profile of apprenticeable trades in automotive services from the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities of Ontario. This includes occupations such as motor vehicle mechanics and autobody repairers.

    A profile of apprenticeable trades in the construction sector from the Ministry of Colleges Training and Universities of Ontario. Occupations included are carpenters, plumbers, and other commercial and residential construction trades.
