A Study of Business Models Sustaining the Development of Digital Cultural Content

In Fall 2001, the Canadian Culture Online Branch contracted Wall Communications Inc., an independent economics-consulting firm, to study the current and potential business models for the development of digital cultural content. In order to do so, Wall Communications consulted with several cultural and heritage organizations and experts in the fields of cultural content digitization and business models for the delivery of content over the Internet.

The following report presents the findings of these consultations, which took place in January and February 2002.
