We wish to inform you of a change in the method of delivery of electronic trade leads from the
International Business Opportunities Centre (IBOC), International Trade Canada.
As of July 16, 2004, the e-Leads(R) system was replaced with electronic delivery of
trade leads through the Virtual Trade Commissioner (VTC), the newest tool of Canada's Trade Commissioner
Service for helping Canadian companies in international markets. The VTC is a key tool that enhances
and personalizes your interaction with the Trade Commissioner Service and provides market information
and trade leads for your priority markets. The integration of IBOC's electronic leads with the VTC will
ensure a single window of service for Canadian companies.
Depending on your situation, the following are avenues you can take to continue to receive information
on international trade from the Trade Commissioner Service.
- Current VTC Clients: If you are already a VTC client, you may wish to update your profile through
your VTC page to ensure that you receive the trade leads most suited for your company.
- Export-Ready Companies: If you are an export ready company and wish to ensure that you continue
to receive electronic business leads from IBOC, we invite you to register your company with the
Virtual Trade Commissioner, at www.infoexport.gc.ca.
- Non-Export-Ready Companies: If you require help in assessing whether your company is ready to export
or if you are just starting to look into exporting, call Team Canada Inc's Export Information Service
at 1 888 811-1119 or visit exportsource.ca.
- Association and Government Subscribers: If you are an industry association or an employee of a
federal, provincial or municipal government, you can register yourself with the VTC and receive
business leads and other international business information from the Trade Commissioner Service.

you already have a VTC web page, you may wish to update your profile to ensure that you receive
the information most suited for your organization.
- Other Subscribers: If you are not a company and you are interested in information on foreign
markets, you can access a wide range of market reports from the Trade Commissioner Service's
website at www.infoexport.gc.ca.
