ANNOUNCEMENT

The National Research Council (NRC) has concluded through a strategic planning and financial exercise that it will terminate the services and operation of the Canadian Bioinformatics Resource (CBR) on September 30, 2005.

Every effort is being made to transition the general bioinformatics service provision of CBR to other groups in Canada. NRC will notify CBR users when it has more news to share with regard to this process.

CBR registered users are being contacted by CBR staff to properly transition and/or archive user data. Should you have comments, concerns or questions with regard to the closure of CBR please address these to: comments@cbr.nrc.ca.

The staff of CBR would like to express sincere thanks for the opportunity to provide these services and support to the Canadian bioinformatics community and beyond for the past decade.
