It is important that you understand what you are agreeing to in your Letter of Offer to ensure proper processing of your claims. Contact your development officer if any information is incorrect.
There are seven sections to the Letter of Offer:
Section 1 – Description of the Project
This is a brief outline of the scope and purpose of your proposed project.
Section 2 – Budgeted Costs and Financing
One side of the table in this section shows your projected costs as outlined in your business plan. It identifies which costs are eligible for Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC) assistance and which are not. It outlines your overall budget for each component of the project, item-by-item, and what cost amounts have been assigned for each. Please ensure that no costs have been omitted and that
all figures are accurate.
The other side of the table shows how you are going to finance the costs. It identifies all sources of financing and details the amount from each. Of particular importance to you is the financing that is referred to as the applicant contribution. This is the cash investment that you must bring to the project. Please ensure the amounts are accurate in this
section and that all organizations assisting you with your project are correctly named.
