Publication rights

IDRC has world rights on all publications listed in this catalogue, except where otherwise noted.

Returns

Prior permission to return is required from IDRC. Booksellers may return books if they are in new, resalable condition (no price marks or stickers) and currently in print. Books that have been out of print for more than 6 months and books in unsalable condition are not returnable and will be refused. A packing list showing quantities, discounts received, and invoice number(s) must accompany requests for returns. Written notice should be sent to IDRC upon receipt of damaged or defective books.

Discounts

The following discount structure applies to orders addressed to Renouf Publishing Co. Ltd only. All other customers should check with the nearest distributor to inquire about special discounts.

Course copies: Educational institutions are entitled to a 20% discount on books intended for course use.

Bookstores: Bookstores are entitled to a 20% discount on all IDRC publications.

Bulk purchases: There is a 10% discount on purchases of 10 to 49 copies and a 20% discount on purchases of 50 to 99 copies. The discount level on purchases of over 100 copies will be subject to negotiation.

Individual orders

IDRC publications are sold in local currencies by distributors covering most areas of the world. Customers should place orders directly through their nearest distributor. Orders received by IDRC will be forwarded to the local distributor and could be unnecessarily delayed. Customers in countries or regions not serviced by a local distributor should direct enquiries to Renouf Publishing Co. Ltd in Canada.

Prices

The prices indicated are IDRC's suggested retail prices in Canadian dollars, and all are subject to change without notice. Prices vary by country and distributor according to local trade practice, mailing and handling costs, and import surcharges where applicable. Please consult your local distributor for terms and conditions.

Examination and desk copies

Academic customers are invited to request examination or desk copies of titles that are to be recommended for course adoption. Please direct all enquiries to the Managing Editor, IDRC, at pub@idrc.ca. Please include details of the course, estimated enrollment, semester it will be taught, and bookstore information. IDRC reserves the right to limit the availability of examination and desk copies.

IDRC archives

Archival copies of all IDRC publications are kept by the IDRC Library, including many it is online archive. Readers outside Canada should contact one of IDRC's many depository libraries around the world for terms of borrowing or consultation. Fiche copies of out-of-print titles may also be obtained from Micromedia Ltd, 20 Victoria Street, Toronto, ON, Canada M5C 2N8 (info@micromedia.on.ca).

IDRC participates in the Canadian Cataloguing in Publication Data program. Professional cataloging data appear on the copyright page in each of our new publications.

Requests from developing countries

Requests from developing countries for complimentary books will be given special consideration. A brief description of research and development activities of the organization helps IDRC to answer requests fully. Please limit selections to less than five books and send requests to the Managing Editor, IDRC, in Ottawa, Canada, at pub@idrc.ca. IDRC reserves the right to limit the availability of complimentary copies.
