Champions Network

Champions - are those individuals, often from the research or policy communities,  who have demonstrated a commitment to  strengthening WDM principles and practices in the region through their direct and ongoing participation in the work of  IDRC and WaDImena.  They promote WDM with their colleagues, foster an environment for capacity development of WDM in the work place  and raise critical issues with their superiors (e.g. government Ministers).

Read more about the work of these champions:

Youssef Khalil Kassab

Abderrafii Lahlou from Morocco

Bassam Jaber from Lebanon

Fayez Bataineh from Jordan

Qahtan Abdul-Malik from Yemen

Are you a Champion? Have you or someone you know successfully influenced a water demand management practice or policy in one of the WaDImena countries? We want to highlight your experiences!! Contact us on email at wadimena@idrc.org.eg (subject line: champion) with a one-page note explaining why you or someone you know should be a WaDImena champion.
