Research and Development

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency serves as a centre of expertise in advancing the field of environmental assessment through the support of innovative research.

The Agency contributes toward research that furthers the practice of environmental assessment, and/or improves the level of understanding of environmental assessments in support of sustainable development issues.

The Agency's Research and Development Program is currently being renewed following a comprehensive evaluation of the Program in 2004. This section of the Web site will be updated in the early 2006. Please visit the site again for new information about the R&D Program and the next call for proposals. To be added to the R&D distribution list and receive e-mail updates about the Program, e-mail rd@ceaa-acee.gc.ca.
