Energy efficiency at home is the focus of One-Tonne Challenge programs directed to young Canadians ages 6 to 13 years old. Using an interactive Web page to interest younger consumers, OTC's Simon, NRCat and the new superhero Inspector Joules, show kids how they can make a difference by reducing electricity usage, recycling and more.

Winners of an annual nationwide student art contest that attracted 8,442 entries in 2005 will have their artistic creations highlighted in the Energy and the Environment calendar 2006.

Kids can learn more about climate change by visiting
