John Efford, Minister of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), today announced the release of the 2005 Fuel Consumption Guide and the  2005 EnerGuide winners for the most fuel-efficient new vehicles sold in Canada.

"When you choose a fuel-efficient vehicle, you reduce fuel costs and the harmful emissions that contribute to climate change," said Minister Efford. "By making this choice, you're part of an important nationwide effort to conserve Canada's energy resources in the One-Tonne Challenge that asks all Canadians to reduce their individual greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent."
