Guidance and advice

Canada Economic Development helps entrepreneurs and local and regional development agents, including social economy enterprises:

  • design and develop policies,

strategies, business plans, action plans and projects,

  • plan financial packages,

  • identify funding sources, etc.

Advice or guidance are services delivered to an entrepreneur or local development agent on an individual basis and geared to each specific situation.

Information and referrals

The Agency produces timely information to help entrepreneurs and local and regional development agents make informed decisions. It also refers entrepreneurs and development agents to resources likely to provide a timely, appropriate response to their specific needs.

In this regard, the Agency works with the Canada Business Service Centres operating in Quebec, namely, Info entreprises in Montreal and Ressources Entreprises in Quebec City, for Eastern Quebec. These organizations deliver information, referral and reference material services to entrepreneurs and local and regional development agents throughout Quebec.

Financial support

Through its funding programs, the Agency delivers contributions (repayable and non-repayable) contributions as well as grants, in exceptional cases, to its clientele.
