A National Framework for “Big Science” ProjectsSometimes doing good science means expensive infrastructure that only the government can afford. But how should government decide which "big science" projects are worth funding? To make such decisions as rational as possible, NSERC and the National Research Council are developing a Framework for Evaluating Big Science proposals.
