What is IDW?
Held annually, IDW highlights and illustrates the work of Canada’s development community.
IDW provides a great opportunity for Canadians to:
- increase the awareness of the role many Canadians play in international development;
- learn more about life in developing countries; and
- find out how they can become global citizens, actively involved in international development.
When is IDW taking place this year?
IDW will take place from Sunday, February 5 to Saturday, February 11, 2006.
Move your World … because you can
IDW activities are organized across the country by Canadian non-governmental organizations,  Marie Abbott, butterfly 208
grand-prize winner, visits with students
at the Kiparang'anda Primary School on
the butterfly trip to Tanzania in August 2005.

the private sector, educators, youth, and the general public. These activities are supported by the Canadian government through CIDA.
