Nunavut Communities, 1999

Nunavut's younger generation talk about their communities, their thoughts, feelings and hopes for the future. Click on the communities of your choice to obtain more details (see note below). Refer to the map of Nunavut Communities in the Atlas, too.

Map of Nunavut Communities Qikiqtarjuad Igloolik Taloyoak Kugluktuk Pangnirtumg Grise Fjord Resolute Iqaluit Cape Dorset Kimmirut Arctic Bay Rankin Inlet Chesterfield Inlet Whale Cove Arviat Pelly Bay Clyde River Repulse Bay Coral Harbour Hall Beach Cambridge Bay Pond Inlet

Thanks to the Baffin Divisional Education Council which coordinated gathering the text and photos of Nunavut's communities.

Note: Pelly Bay is now called Kugaaruk. There are no pages for Alert, Gjoa Haven, Nanisivik, Umingmaktok, Baker Lake and Sanikiluaq.
