Abstract

This map shows the results of the 37th Federal Election, November 27, 2000. There are 301 electoral districts (or ridings), with the distribution between provinces and territories as follows: British Columbia - 34; Alberta - 26; Saskatchewan - 14; Manitoba - 14; Ontario - 103; Quebec - 75; New Brunswick - 10; Nova Scotia - 11; Prince Edward Island - 4; Newfoundland - 7; Yukon Territory - 1; Northwest Territories - 1; Nunavut - 1.

Information for individual electoral ridings (using “Get Statistics”) includes:

  • candidate elected
  • party elected
  • number of electors on the lists
  • number of valid votes cast
  • number of rejected votes cast
  • distribution of valid votes cast by political affiliation (%)
  • plurality (%)

(Note: Plurality is the difference, as a percent of the total valid votes cast, between the vote received by the winning candidate and the candidate who finished second.)
