The University of Toronto Innovations Foundation's (UTIF) exists to maximize the impact of the more than $2 million spent every day on research at the University of Toronto and the hospitals associated with the University.
Every day we help bring together researchers and businesses people to capitalize on the best ideas developed by the best minds at the University of Toronto and our healthcare partners. At the same time, the 20 professionals who make up UTIF are advancing promising projects in our key areas of expertise: Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Information Technology.
Now we are expanding our reach by taking advantage of UTIF's position as a lead partner in the MaRS (Medical and Related Sciences) Discovery District in downtown Toronto. At MaRS, providers of cutting-edge research, start-up companies and knowledge-based networks are for the first time in Ontario literally under the same roof, working on projects for high-growth industries such as biotechnology, drug development, information technology and advanced materials.
The latest addition to our web site is the Innovation Awards page, which is in the FOR INVENTORS section. More additions are planned to to make our web site the premier location for information on the best and brightest ideas developed by University of Toronto professors and our healthcare partners.
