About multiple formats

We offer many of our forms and publications in an electronic format that can be accessed by persons with a visual impairment. These formats are Braille and E-text. The documents that are not available electronically in these formats can be ordered by using our Multiple Formats Order Form.

Multiple Formats Order Form: Use this form to order Braille, E-text, audio cassettes, or large print forms or publications. These multiple formats are exclusively prepared for visually impaired persons.

Online Order Form: Use this service to order regular print forms or publications.

Braille (BRF)

We provide Braille documents (BRF files) for download from our Web site in contracted Braille (grade two Braille), formatted to 40 characters per line and 25 lines per page. BRF files are suitable for use in Duxbury, for review on a refreshable Braille display, or for output to a Braille embosser. See our list of All Documents Available in Braille.

E-text (accessible electronic text)

E-text, also known as text-to-speech, is used for voice synthesizers. E-text files can be downloaded and used with common word processors such as Microsoft Word or Notepad. See our list of All Documents Available in E-Text.

Large print

Large print files are not available electronically but can be ordered through the Multiple Formats Order Form. Letters in large print are 6 mm (1/4 in.) high (Sans serif font 18pts).

Audio

Audio cassettes use tone tabs in order to provide the reader with easy access to different sections.
