Diversity Policy: Statement & Objectives

Diversity strengthens EDC's organizational performance by allowing it to tap into a wide range of skills, knowledge, insights and experience in order to help serve its domestic and global customer base. Diversity also allows EDC to compete as an "employer of choice" for the best employees from all backgrounds.
EDC is committed to:

Policy Objectives |

The objectives of our policy are to:
- Assist EDC in living its corporate Values, which include the statement "Our diversity enriches us all."
- Manage a productive and healthy workplace in which each employee can contribute to his/her full potential;
- Ensure individuals are hired, trained, developed, promoted and compensated according to job-relevant criteria and his/her demonstrated performance and competencies; and
- Meet employment equity and human rights obligations, specifically:
- Representation of Designated Group members at EDC who reflect the Canadian workforce; and
- EDC's duty to accommodate
