21 students win EDC International Studies Scholarship and work term

OTTAWA - October 21, 2002 - Export Development Canada (EDC) president and CEO, A. Ian Gillespie, today announced this year's recipients of EDC's International Studies Scholarships.

"EDC is proud to support these students in pursuit of opportunities in the world of international business," says Mr. Gillespie. "We believe it is necessary to offer students relevant work experience to provide them with the skills they will need on the global stage."

The scholarship winners represent the top students in finance, international business, international relations, economics and finance from across Canada. In addition to a financial award of $3,000 for undergraduates and $5,000 for graduates, all students are also offered a work term opportunity with EDC, bringing the total value of the award to $12, 000-$14, 000.
