Welcome to the Atlantic Region
The Atlantic Regional Office of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada encompasses four provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. There are thirty-three (33) First Nations in the Atlantic Region with a registered population of 17,670 on reserve and 11,109 off reserve, for a total population of 28,779. Within the Atlantic Region there are also five Inuit communities located in Labrador.
The Region Director General for the Atlantic Region is John Brown and the Associate Regional Director General is Ian Gray.
