Forestry

To maintain a fair, efficient and competitive marketplace Measurement Canada has commenced an eighteen month review of the rules and practices governing the buying and selling of forest products and services based on measurement.

The primary purpose of the Forestry Trade Sector Review (FTSR) is to establish an appropriate level of measurement related intervention to ensure accuracy in trade measurement. This will be an opportunity for stakeholders, especially vulnerable parties, to express their views in regards to Measurement Canada’s level of intervention in this trade sector.

Measurement Canada sincerely hopes buyers and sellers in the forestry sector take advantage of this opportunity to influence public policy decisions affecting you. Details of this review will be posted on this website as they become available.
