Certificate of Canadian Citizenship:
An Examiner’s Guide
This information will help you, an examiner or official, become familiar
with the security features you will find on the new Certificate of Canadian
Citizenship.
The Citizenship Card is a wallet-sized legal document issued by the department
of Citizenship and Immigration. It shows that the holder is a Canadian
citizen. While the look and feel has not changed much from previous versions,
there are a number of security enhancements that you will notice.
The following features shown here will help you evaluate a card’s validity.
Embedded security thread. View with transmitted
light. Look for positive and reverse printing and microtext. |
