Project Green - Moving Forward on Climate Change: A Plan for Honouring our Kyoto Commitment

Technology Early Action Measures (TEAM)

Technology Early Action Measures (TEAM) is an interdepartmental technology investment program established under the federal government's Climate Change Action Plan. TEAM supports projects that are designed to develop technologies that mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions nationally and internationally, and that sustain economic and social development.

Technology Early Action Measures (TEAM)

TEAM's unique approach brings together industry, community, and international partners to encourage additional investment in innovative technology. TEAM's position in the technology innovation process has enabled the Government of Canada to support a wide range of technology options and paths for mitigating GHGs.

Head of the Public Service AwardIn December 2000, TEAM received the prestigious Head of the Public Service Award – the highest possible honour that could be awarded to a Government of Canada program. TEAM was named for its "excellence in policy", thereby recognizing the innovative model that has been created to match government policy priorities with business opportunities.

This site provides information on how TEAM works, including its role in promoting technology and innovation, instructions on how to apply for TEAM support, and the various delivery programs in other government departments and agencies through which TEAM offers its support.

In this site you will also find descriptions of many of the projects supported by TEAM, including the potential benefits they may provide to the environment and the economy, as well as informative publications and how to contact the TEAM Operations Office to obtain additional information.
