Aboriginal Jewellery Promotion in the Land of the Rising Sun
From July 6 to 12, Northwest Coast and Inuit jewellery by Canadian artists will be displayed for the first time in Nagoya, Japan. The artists will also make presentations and perform at the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan.
Canada-European Union Summit–Joint Declaration
Canada and the European Union (EU) reached a series of agreements at the Canada-EU Summit held on June 19 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The discussions focused in part on trade and investment relations, and WTO trade negotiations.
Canada and Italy Sign Joint Science and Technology Statement
On June 6, 2005, in Ottawa, Canada and Italy signed a joint statement on science and technology. The joint statement acknowledges the two countries' commitment to further developing ties in this field.
Norman Robertson Fellowship 2005
The annual competition for the Norman Robertson Fellowship 2005 is under way. The Fellowship will allow a scholar to spend up to six months as a staff member of the Office of the Chief Economist. The deadline for applications is July 1, 2005.
