Top weather stories for 1998 released


Ottawa - December 21, 1998 - Environment Canada today released its summary of the Top Ten Weather Stories for 1998. The annual ranking is prepared by Senior Climatologist and Canada's foremost climate expert, David Phillips.

The summary provides a look back at the weather stories that made headlines and broke records across the country. From the ice storm, to the record-breaking temperatures that warmed up our spring, summer and fall, the list provides an informative look at the weather events that were on the top of Canadians' minds throughout 1998.
