SUBJECT: Access to Information and Privacy Community Meetings 

The next ATIP community meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2002, at the Government Conference Centre, Centennial Room from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The main topics that will be covered include ISPD Service Standards, SIN and Data Matching, Info Source, the ATIP Virtual Network, the ATIP Awards Program, and a presentation by the Department of Justice on some of the recent Court decisions.  A copy of the complete agenda is attached.  

ATIP community meetings are intended to bring to the attention of the community important issues that will have a significant impact on access and privacy.  The attendance and participation of at least one representative from each institution is therefore strongly encouraged.   

The dates and locations have also been confirmed for the fall/winter/spring ATIP Community Meetings as well as the ATIP Annual Conference.  They are:   

·        November 13, 2002 - Sussex Room, 9:00 to 12:00

·        January 14, 2003 - Sussex Room, 9:00 to 12:00

·        March 3, 2003 – Main Hall, 9:00 to 4:30 (ATI Annual Conference)

·        March 11, 2003 - Sussex Room, 9:00 to 12:00

·        May 23, 2003 – Sussex Room, 9:00 to 12:00
