SUBJECT: Meeting of May 17, 2005  

The next ATIP community meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at the Old City Hall, Fuller Room, 111 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Approximately 70 parking spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis at a cost of $10. 

The meeting will provide an update on the activities of the Information, Policy and Security Policy Division (IPSPD), Treasury Board Secretariat. Other topics that will be discussed include the reform of the Access to Information Act, the implications of the User Fees Act and of the Policy on Service Standards for External Fees for institutions subject to the Access to Information Act, and investigations conducted under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. In addition, the Department of Justice will present an overview of recent Court decisions. A copy of the complete agenda is attached. 

We also include reference documents that may be useful in understanding the implications of the Policy on Service Standards for External Fees and of the User Fees Act.
