National Family Week – October 3-9, 2005

Nurturing the Spirit of Families in Our Communities

Minister Ken Dryden and Minister Tony Ianno invite Canadians across the country to celebrate National Family Week, from October 3 to 9, 2005 . This year's theme is Nurturing the Spirit of Families in Our Communities.

"Families in all their many varied forms lie at the foundation of our communities I am pleased that my department helps fund National Family Week, as it provides a wonderful opportunity for all of us to reflect on what our families mean to us." says Minister Dryden.

"National Family Week is a time to celebrate the gift that we are to each other in this moment, to nurture our individual hopes and dreams for the future, and to think about what we can do to ensure that all families in our communities are thriving," says Minister Ianno.

To help you celebrate National Family Week, Family Service Canada has developed a kit of information and activities World Wide Web.

Family Service Canada receives funding through Social Development Canada’s Social Development Partnerships Program.
