Description

This plate consists of two maps, each showing the predominant ethnic group in each township as of 1901. One map shows northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and most of Saskatchewan; the other map is of western Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. A varying number of ethnic groups are shown, but always included are: English, Scotch [Scottish], Irish, French and German. Places of over 5000 are shown as proportional dots on each map.
