Provincial Government LinksThe Archives of Ontario contain the work of artists who contributed to the Canadian War Memorials Fund and whose artwork was exhibited in 1919 at the first major exhibition to showcase images created during the First World War. The images, created by war artists between 1914 and 1918, are poignant reminders of a devastating war that took place almost one hundred years ago. Associations, organizations and other linksThe Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC)* is the national trade organization of Canada's aerospace manufacturing and service sector. AIAC is the voice of Canada's aerospace community. A web site dedicated to former Canadian military personnel, their families and teachers who were in AFCENT Brunsumm, Holland from 1967 on. Airforce Association of Canada* is a national not-for-profit aerospace and community service organization composed of aviation-minded citizens established to remind Canadians of their country's rich aeronautical tradition and history, to support Canada's Air Force and to support and encourage the civil aviation component within the country. Atlantic Council of Canada (ACC) The Canadian Association of Military Police Veterans (CAMPVets). This website, maintained by the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, contains pertinent defence and security information from a variety of government departments, agencies, military commands and bi-national organizations. The objective of the Association is to promote and improve the esprit-de-corps and general efficiency of the Infantry Arm of the Canadian Armed Forces and to cooperate with other arms of the service for the promotion of general efficiency. Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies* The Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies has gained wide recognition as the nation's foremost source of independent information and research on a broad range of issues affecting Canada. It satisfies a need for a body of informed opinion on strategic and security issues and stimulates greater public awareness of national and international developments. Through a vigorous program of seminars, publications, educational activities and media relations, the CISS enhances the basis for informed choice by the Canadian public and its leaders. The CISS is a member-based, independent, non-profit organization. The Interallied Confederation of Medical Reserve Officers (CIOMR) is the leading international association of reserve medical officers in NATO member nations. Its delegates are physicians, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, nurses, technicians and medical service corps officers. CIOMR's objectives are: to study and discuss issues of military medical importance; to establish close relationships with Reserve Force medical personnel and services in NATO nations; and to promote co-operation with Regular Force medical services in NATO nations, providing information and feedback through its civilian medical expertise. Conference of Defence Associations* The aim of the CDA is to contribute to beneficial defence policy and effective armed forces. It seeks to achieve this objective through a combination of advice to government and public information. The public information and education function is carried out by the CDA Institute. Friends of the Canadian War Museum The Friends of the Canadian War Museum is a charitable organization formed to support the Canadian War Museum and its activities by sponsoring Museum projects, conducting research on subjects related to Canadian military history, fund raising, and providing volunteer services. The mission of the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre is to support and enhance the Canadian contribution to international peace, security, and stability. The Centre conducts research and provides advanced training and educational programmes. Created by a Canadian veteran in dedication to all Canadian peacekeepers. Let us remember whose who have given their lives in the name of peace throughout the world. The Royal Artillery Association is the Regimental Association of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Its aims are the promotion of Gunner welfare and comeradeship. Association Branches can provide support during the difficult transition period into civilian life and thereafter, the friendship of a caring group of people who understand his or her problems and will do their best to help solve them. For retired Gunners, Branches provide a focus for social activites and practical assistance if it is needed. Canada's largest veterans', ex-service persons' and community service organization with more than 500,000 members and more than 1,600 branches in Canada, the USA (21) and Germany (3). Royal Naval Association - Southern Ontario Branch * A site dedicated to all military wives.* Stratnet is a project of the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and is designed to provide Academics, Students, Researchers, Government Officials and the General Public with a research tool in the areas of Strategic Studies, Security, and International Relations. *Disclaimer* |
