The Kyoto Protocol enters into force
Prime Minister Paul Martin marked the entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change by announcing that Canada will host the Eleventh Conference of the Parties (CoP 11) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Tax Information Slips On-line
Are you receiving Old Age Security or Canada Pension Plan benefits? If so, you can now view and print copies of your T4 and NR4 tax information slips on-line, as well as elect to stop receiving your tax slips by mail. These copies of your tax slips can be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with your Income Tax and Benefit Return.

You Can Quit Smoking
Health Canada's "Bob" campaign lets smokers know that quitting is possible and that Health Canada has the tools to help. The campaign, in its third year, helps smokers get, "On the Road to Quitting", by offering them interactive Web-based tools, a step by step guide to quitting and access to toll-free provincial quitline services to support becoming a non-smoker.
