In November 2004, the Communications Policy of the Government of Canada and its related
Procedures were amended to reflect a new process for managing government advertising. This
new process calls for Web-posting of funding allocations. These amendments to the advertising process will also provide better
management of advertising activities, increased disclosure and transparency, improved links to Government priorities, and an overall
reduction in government spending.
