Management Excellence

In the Spring of 2000, the Agency reviewed its Strategic Plan and established as one of its key objectives: "to have the Agency recognized as a well-managed federal organization". As a result, various management improvement projects were started. In December 2001, in response to the government's Modern Comptrollership (MC) initiative, the Agency created a Project Management Office (PMO). This initiative was integrated in the Agency's management improvement agenda and called "Management Excellence Initiative (MEI)". MEI will serve as a framework and a reporting tool supporting and providing focus on the Agency's efforts to improve its management.
