To financially assist corporations, organizations, groups, or individuals in the writing of uniform national occupational safety and health standards promoting health and safety in the workplace.

How does it work?

Duration

Projects have an average duration of 52 weeks.

Financial Parameters

Funding may not exceed $12,000 in any fiscal year, to be paid to one organization or in smaller amounts to several participating organizations.

Who can apply?

Any corporation, organization, group or individual that clearly demonstrates their support of activities related to the writing of occupational safety and health standards. We seek to support programs that are national in scope and that fall within our federal jurisdiction.

The Labour Program will have the flexibility to give a grant on its own initiative to further an occupational safety and health objective. This is possible because the development and maintenance of equivalent programs or services in-house would not be as cost-effective as support of external programs or services that are then made available to Labour Program client groups.

How do I apply?

Applicants must provide the staff of Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention a detailed proposal that indicates the amount of the financial support being sought.
