Prime Minister Paul Martin, Ken Dryden, Minister of Social Development, Christine Melnick, Manitoba's Minister of Family Services and Housing and Minister Responsible for Persons with Disabilities, and Manitoba Premier Gary Doer announced today an historic Agreement in Principle that further supports the development of quality early learning and child care (ELCC) for young children and their families in Manitoba.

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA—Prime Minister Paul Martin, Ken Dryden, Minister of Social Development, Christine Melnick, Manitoba's Minister of Family Services and Housing and Minister Responsible for Persons with Disabilities, and Manitoba Premier Gary Doer announced today an historic Agreement in Principle that further supports the development of quality early learning and child care (ELCC) for young children and their families in Manitoba.

Ken Dryden, Minister of Social Development, and Christine Melnick, Manitoba's Minister of Family Services and Housing and Minister Responsible for Persons with Disabilities, signing an Agreement in Principle at the Discovery Children's Centre. The Agreement further supports the development of quality early learning and child care (ELCC) for young children and their families in Manitoba.
